Bloody Mary Neocaridina shrimp represent a selectively bred variant of Neocaridina davidi, distinguished by their deep crimson coloration and robust constitution. These freshwater invertebrates demonstrate exceptional resilience across a broad temperature range (65-80°F) and moderate pH tolerance, making them suitable for both beginner and advanced aquascapers. Their omnivorous feeding behavior and algae-grazing capacity provide biological filtration benefits in established systems. Colony establishment occurs readily under optimal conditions, with females producing regular broods in well-planted environments offering adequate shelter and biofilm. Supplemental nutrition through quality sinking pellets and occasional vegetable matter ensures optimal coloration and reproductive success. Recommended for planted aquaria and community setups prioritizing water stability and minimal bioload.
