Tangerine Tiger Caridina Shrimp are distinguished by their vibrant orange coloration complemented by bold tiger striping throughout their bodies. These specialized dwarf shrimp thrive exclusively in well-established aquariums featuring mature biofilm substrates, stable water chemistry, and consistent environmental parameters. They serve as meticulous algae and detritus processors, actively consuming biofilm and organic waste while maintaining water quality and reducing excess nutrients. Requiring temperatures of 65-75°F with gentle circulation and densely vegetated layouts, they exhibit complex foraging behaviors and fascinating social interactions. Their minimal biosignature permits successful populations in compact nano systems without compromising biological balance. An excellent addition for experienced aquarists seeking to combine striking visual aesthetics with active ecological participation in their carefully designed planted aquascapes.
